Snocross snowmobile helmets are for racing. Modular snowmobile helmets allow you to flip up up the chin bar so you can have a hot coffee without taking off the helmet. Snowmobile helmets are the same as motorcycle helmets - with one difference. You need a double shield. So if you have a motorcycle helmet for which a double shield is available, you can turn it into a snowmobile helmet. A few snowmobile helmets have electric shields available. When a manufacturer makes a helmet available as a "snowmobile helmet", it already comes with the dual shield.  The other accessory you may want is a fog deflector. Some snowmobile helmets already come with a fog deflector - check the description.
